The Gift
Marie Henderson lives with her husband in Palmerston North, New Zealand and has enjoyed a long and varied career as a Registered Nurse.
In September 2021 she was diagnosed with 2 primary malignancies in her right breast; one being an aggressive Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) which was treated by radical mastectomy and removal of lymph nodes in November.
She received chemotherapy and radiotherapy and is now on an ongoing regime of aromatase inhibitors and zoledronic acid aimed at preventing recurrence and spread of the beast cancer.
The Gift
Right from her initial diagnosis Marie had a very strong impression that this cancer journey was to be a “gift” to her.
